Thursday's Caranguejada (Crab party) at Pompeu's Barraca
Every thursday, starting at appr. 20.00 hrs, a crab festival is held at Pompeu's barraca.
Life music and dance is found at Praia da Barra's last barraca, just before the Windvillage Waterfront Bungalows, Garden and Spa, at your left hand side, if you arrive at Praia da Barra's parking, and move upwind along the pousada's.
Here, you will find an evening of real Brazilian fun and plenty locals from Itarema and Acaraú to invite you to dance with them real forró!
Sleep well the evening before, since the party sometimes lasts till the early hours...
Have beers or caipirinha's as many as you like, Pompeu will make sure all guests get their drinks timely and truly ice cold!

Every week, (ask at the pousada for the exact evening!), there is some real nice DVD's and kite movies shown at the Pura Vida Club.
Here, all the stars of the watersport scene can be watched at night, while enjoying some nice food and drinks!
Improve your style and tricks by watching them carefully and then fall asleep early that night, to make sure you wake up afresh,
with your mind focused on all new tricks that you saw that night.
It's really nice and helpfull to improve your level this way, and also you see all the colleaguesporters that you met during the day, so you can have a chat and discuss where is the key of most of the difficult maneuvers, should you not manage them sofar yet!
